The goal in blackjack is to beat the dealer without exceeding 21. Because the player chooses whether to hit, stand, double, split, or sometimes surrender, the published table rules and consistent basic-strategy decisions both affect the long-run cost of play. Dealer rules are fixed
The dealer does not choose freely: the table states when to draw or stand. “Dealer stands on soft 17” is normally more favorable than “dealer hits soft 17,” all else equal. For additional context, continue with the baccarat rules guide.
Payouts matter
A 3:2 natural pays ₱150 profit on a ₱100 wager; 6:5 pays ₱120. That difference can materially increase the house edge even when the table looks otherwise identical.

Why should I avoid a 6:5 blackjack table?
